In this highly competitive industry, reducing operational costs and retaining customers is key to business survival. The TranSend ePOD – proof of delivery app and back office delivery monitoring system provides transport and logistics operations with real-time information and visibility of the whole delivery and collection process, from the point of despatch to the point of delivery or collection.

Using GPS to combine real-time location and SKU-level information, TranSend provides full job tracking capability via a PDA or vehicle telematics device, to monitor and manage the ‘on time in full’ (OTIF) customer delivery/collection process. TranSend ePOD supports Android smartphone and tablet devices as well as ruggedised devices.

Mobile Devices – Manage and monitor the drivers day, including vehicle checks, signature capture, ID checking, scanning, photos, satnav, GPS tracking, job updates, delivery questionnaires, lone worker monitoring, pre-arrival notification, delivery bypass authorisation and exception recording.

Vehicles – Perform vehicles checks electronically via the PDA at the start and end of the day, including odometer readings, GPS distance and fuel pumped. Track vehicle location and routes in real time, together with stop/job history.

Deliveries & Collections – Monitor and manage in real time and capture point-of-delivery information, including recipient signature, time & date stamp for accurate, same-day invoicing. Record shortages and damages, arrange same-day returns or replacements.

Route Compliance – Monitor and react to service and operational issues as they arise. Identify where potential efficiencies can be made to improve service levels, reduce operational costs, minimise fuel usage and environmental impact as well as maximise driver utilisation.
