We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Installation Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and configuring a variety of technologies just to name a few, electronic shelf edge labels, voice (voice directed workflow), wireless access points at client sites, device cabinets. The Installation Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that our solutions are implemented effectively, meeting client requirements and exceeding expectations.

From time to time, you may be required to work the odd weekend or night, this is due to customer requests, depending on the installation type to not disrupt their operation or customer. An additional payment will be made for working unsociable hours.

You will form part of a wider delivery team:

  • Sales – new product or services sold by our sales team.
  • Technical consultants – support making sure that product or solution meets the customers’ requirements.
  • Projects – deliver the solution for the customer and integrate into our service teams.
    • As installation technician your role will be pivotal at this part of the process.
  • Capacity – will be managed by our capacity manager and routing/ jobs forecast.

 

Responsibilities:

Installation and Configuration:

Install and configure products and services according to client specifications and project requirements.

Technical Expertise:

Demonstrate a strong understanding of implementation technics and attention to detail stay updated on industry trends to provide efficient and effective installations.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve technical issues during installation, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.

Client & project team Interaction:

Communicate with clients & project team to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide guidance on the use and maintenance of installed systems.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and detailed records of installation activities, including configurations, changes, and issues encountered (documentation will be provided)

Collaboration:

Work closely with the project management and support teams to ensure a seamless transition from installation to ongoing support.

 

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Proficient in using power tools, good understanding of best health and safety practices able to work around problem when it comes to general installations

Problem-Solving:

Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical and practical issues.

Communication:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.

Customer Focus:

A customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and exceeding customer expectations.

Team Player:

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive working environment.

Adaptability:

Willingness to adapt to changing technologies and work environments.

n.b. please note relevant training will be provided.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ideally a candidate should have experience in installation and configuration of generally technology which requires configuration, installation of builds, testing & install.
  • Retail experience is preferred.
