As of 2024, Skywire (Australia) Pty Ltd is now a part of the Renovotec Group and operates in the APAC region as Renovotec APAC. For the last 25 years, Skywire has remained the preferred wireless mobility provider for many larger organisations throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Throughout its history, Skywire has consistently remained at the forefront of technology solution innovation for the supply chain in Australia and New Zealand, as well as securing several key ‘firsts’ for the industry. From earning a prestigious Australian Government Endorsed Supplier status in 2000 to successfully delivering several industry-leading projects, Skywire continued to innovate as the preferred choice for organisations in the supply chain.

Skywire Australia Chronicle

 

Skywire Australia supported the APAC region for over 20 years, becoming the preferred partner for organisations in Australia, New Zealand and the wider APAC region.

1999

  • Skywire opens its first office (Sydney).

 

2000

  • Skywire earns Australian Government Endorsed Supplier status.

 

2001

  • Skywire wins the prestigious award for excellence in technology, the largest Wireless LAN infrastructure deployment in Australia.

 

2002

  • Skywire opens Melbourne office.

 

2003

  • Skywire is the first to deploy a wearable SAP console in Australia.

 

2003 – 2004

  • Skywire is the first to deploy wireless switches in Australia.

 

2004

  • Skywire wins Motorola Business Partner of the Year Award for Exceptions Sales Achievement for APAC. Skywire also becomes a Wavelink Premier Partner.

 

2005

  • Skywire wins Motorola Business Partner Services Award in APAC. Skywire also acquires Motorola Certified Professional Services Provider and Motorola Premier Business Partner status.

 

2006

  • Skywire and Manhattan Associates are Awarded Motorola Partner Ecosystem Award for the most innovative joint solution in APAC.

 

2007

  • Skywire and Pronto Software are awarded Motorola Partner Ecosystem Award for most innovative joint solution in APAC.
  • Skywire becomes a Cisco Premier Business Partner.

 

2008

  • Skywire wins Motorola Enterprise Mobility Business Australian Partner of the Year Awards.
  • Skywire opens Melbourne office.

 

2009

  • Motorola awards Skywire for Australia and New Zealand Competitive Win of the Year and Customer Service for 2009. Skywire awarded by Wavelink Corporation for Success and Growth in 2009.

 

2010

  • Skywire recognised by Motorola for Qantas RFID Solution with Partner Excellence Award.
  • Skywire awarded Australia and New Zealand Partner of the Year by Motorola.

 

2011

  • Skywire becomes Intermec Partner.

 

2012

  • Skywire awarded Australia and New Zealand Intermec Partner of the Year by Avnet.
  • Skywire awarded Wavelink Partner of the Year for APAC.
  • Skywire becomes a certified Meraki Partner.

 

2013

  • Skywire becomes an SAP services partner.
  • Skywire nominated for Coca Cola Amatil Supplier of the Year.

 

2014

  • Skywire implements the wireless for the largest DC in Australia for Toll IPEC.
  • Skywire becomes VM Ware Airwatch Certified Partner.

 

2015

  • Skywire is awarded the SOTI APAC Partner of the Year Award for 2015.

 

2016

  • Skywire sets up Skywire New Zealand.
  • 20,000 devices and mobile printers under management

 

2017

  • Skywire appoints James Shepherd CEO Australia New Zealand.

 

2018

  • Skywire rolls out the largest Panasonic Retail Project Australia New Zealand – Super Retail Group.

 

2020

  • Skywire launches first Customer Service online portal integrating with both Zebra Centre and Honeywell.

 

2021

  • Skywire marks the deployment of over 3500 devices across Australia New Zealand for one of the largest Public New Zealand companies.
  • Skywire deploys 3rd generation refresh for Toyota Motors Australia.
  • Skywire nominated as an Essential Service Provider to our Retail and Third Party Logistic companies – Skywire staff maintained and serviced our customer base during extremely challenging COVID times.

 

2022

  • Skywire launches Mobility as a Service.

 

2023

  • Renovotec acquires majority stakeholding as Skywire becomes a Renovotec Group Company.

 

2024

  • Acquisition of Skywire completed June 30, 2024.
  • Skywire officially begins operating as Renovotec APAC.
  • Renovotec APAC becomes Honeywell Platinum Voice Partner Australia New Zealand.
