This year TeamRenovotec have graciously accepted the Snowdon Sea to Summit challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Several members of the Renovotec team will cycle, trek and kayak, from Caernarfon to the peak of Snowdon in July, covering a distance of around 23 miles for a cause very close to our hearts.

Please join us in supporting our challenge superstars and donate what you can at the links below.

Our 2025 Charity Challengers!

So me and my colleagues at Renovotec will be taking on the Sea to summit challenge to help raise funds for the fantastic MacMillan Cancer Support charity. Starting in Caernarfon in north Wales we cycle inland from the coast and into Snowdonia national park to the foot of Mount Snowdon. We then climb to the summit at 1085m. Descending to the north we then head to Llyn Padarm for our kayak circuit to complete the 30 mile challenge.

Better get off the couch and start getting myself fit for what I’m sure will be a tough but very enjoyable experience!

All donations much appreciated

As many of you that know me will know, the past year and a half I’ve been doing a lot of running to lose weight for my wedding, even got myself a half marathon booked for charity! Somehow though I thought it wasn’t enough and when my company invited people to raise money for Macmillan by doing a 10 mile bike ride, followed by a hike up Mt Snowden, and finishing off with a 2.5 mile kayak, two weeks before my wedding, I decided sure, why not! So, if you would like to, any and all support would be massively appreciated in helping me reach my fundraising goal and beyond for what’s set to be a brilliant day for an absolutely magnificent cause. Every penny counts in helping fund Macmillan Cancer Support and the tremendous work they do.

Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

I have decided to challenge myself and try to complete a new challenge to raise money for Macmillan. This exciting adventure tackles all terrains as we journey literally from Sea to Summit! Starting in Caernarfon on the

Menai Strait across from Anglesey, we cycle, trek and kayak in the wildness of Wales and stand on the highest peak in

England & Wales – Snowdon at 1,085m.

Quick entry of my typical working day – cycling to and from my workplace.

In conjunction with regular Rugby training and match days, this is my core fitness…

I aim to push harder in training for the forthcoming charity event, this isn’t going to be a typical day. Heightened fitness will be required.

Hi Iā€™m Phil and have been with the company for 20 years as a Field Service Engineer.

Iā€™m thrilled to be taking part in the Sea to Summit challenge for such a good cause.

Itā€™s perfect motivation to get myself back in shape after a very lazy Christmas and also probably a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Enjoying the training (mostly!) especially getting out walking some challenging terrain with my dogs.

Also will be great to meet the other team member as Iā€™ve only ever met a couple of you before so all round Iā€™m really looking forward to July!!

I have started training for the ā€œsea to summit challengeā€ along with my friends and colleagues from Renovotec we are aiming to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Like a lot of people, I have received support from Macmillan following my dadā€™s passing from cancer in June 2024 and they continue to support my mum through her ongoing treatment. An amazing charity that does so much at the time you need them most, any sponsorship would be amazing. Thank you

Never been up Snowdon, never kayaked, tack that onto a rather long bike ride and you have a challenging day out. Looking forward to it and it’s for a good cause to boot.

Iā€™m taking part in this charity event because it feels important to me to give back and help those who could really use it. Itā€™s a chance to make a real difference, and it just feels good to be part of something thatā€™s bigger than myself.
